I started this blog in the Fall of 2012 when I decided to run the 2013 Boston Marathon with the Dana-Farber Marathon Team.
I use the term started loosely. Basically I created the blog site, but then never got any further. I had big plans of journaling all of my training runs and fundraising activity as a way to generate awareness, document my entire experience, and keep everyone updated on my progress. Unfortunately, real life got in the way and I barely had any time to get my training runs in, let alone write about them after the fact. So this blog never really got off the ground.
Until now. Given the tragic events that occurred during the 2013 Boston Marathon, I felt the need to put my 2013 Boston Marathon Story into words. This is just one of many steps in my healing process as I sort through all the emotions I have about that day. This is my story.
